God. The Bible as it was Intended for Humanity

What Matters Most

1. We will teach the TRUE and Eternal Word of God/The Bible as it was Intended for Humanity

Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,

and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Hebrews 4:12–13  For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Question(s) to discuss after church:

How do people find direction and purpose for life these days?

How might the Bible help people to navigate this journey called life?

2. We will help you Understand and Apply the Word of God so that it Transforms Your Life and the People  around You. The Bible calls this,  Discipleship.

Romans 12:2  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

2 Timothy 3:16–17  Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God’s approval.

17 They (the Scriptures) equip God’s servants so that they are completely prepared to do good things.

Question(s) to discuss after church:

What might happen when people can quote the Bible but not live the Bible? Have you found that actually living the Bible has helped you?

3. We will be a United, Caring, Supportive, and Encouraging Family. The Bible calls us the Body of Christ.

Romans 12:3–5  Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other

1 Corinthians 1:10  I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

Colossians 3:12–15  Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

  • Believe each other’s intentions are good.

Question(s) to discuss after church:

How important is having a caring community to you at this time in your life? What are some pros and cons for being in a community?

4. We will have a Lot of Fun Sharing Life Together

Why will this be fun? Because when people share a common purpose, serve others and agree to honor, encourage and support each other… its like being on a winning team. Its a lot of fun!
